I chose the wrong time to try equidermis, as the coat is changing.
That said, my horse perpetually has bad scurf, and loses hair easily. The surf problem has improved, as has the hair loss.
I'm happy to guardedly give credit to the supplement.

EquiDermis has changed my boys dry skin into a soft and glossy coat , no itching and  flaking skin, he is a fussy boy but is very happy to eat it when added to his feed, definitely would recommend it if your horse needs help with his skin

Very impressed with the service from feedmark. Didn't have to wait too long for order and product was well packaged.
Made the mistake of adding too much to 1st feed and horse turned his nose up, but within a few days he was up to full dose and loving it.
Mellanders has improved and coat has a lovely shine. I will be continuing to feed this.

I’ve a 4yo Irish Draught really struggling with midges, and various fly repellants and garlic has been tried but he is still very itchy. Since using this powder he hasn’t been as itchy and the bare patches on his face have grown back.

Amazing product. Has totally helped with skin growth to help my mare legs heal from sallenders. Equidermis is the only thing that has changed in her treatment for it and never seen such great healing. Would normally always reopen and back to square 1. My mare for the last couple of years had unknown lumps on her skin which were unsightly and looked sore. I changed feed, bedding and anything else I could think of which may have caused an allergy effect but to no avail. I decided to try Equidermis as I had used it years ago when I had traditional cobs to keep their hair and feathers tip top. Mary has been on it from last October and has had very few lumps so I won’t take her off it.

I have only been using this product since May 24 and the are visible improvement on my horse’s mane where he has received damage from rugs. The real test will be when his coat changes , as now he is older he seems to suffer with a type of rain scold. I have tried every thing and currently it is only washing with hibi scrub two or three times a day every day. So hopefully this will help.

As my mare has been suffering with sweet itch during the summer months over the past few years, a couple of years ago, I  decided to try Equidermis to help relieve the symptoms.  I feed it to her all year round reducing the measure in the winter months and am very pleased with the result. Previously she would scratch her neck until it was sore but now her coat is smooth and shiney. She still rubs her neck occasionally but nothing like before. I would recommend this product for horses with sensitive skins.

If you have a fussy eater or one with a suppressed appetite because she’s on Prascend, it can lead to her not  eating what’s put in front of her. So we feed at a lower rate. It hasn’t really stopped the younger horse itching and rubbing her dock nor has it done anything to reduce the scurf of one of the older mares. I think we will stop feeding it for a while and review. All of that said, the oldest mare was losing her mane and forelock, and all of a sudden, it has started to really thicken up. The only thing that has changed is the addition of the EquiDermis🤷‍♂️

Thank you so much to Abbie and Steph for this recommendation. Has literally changed my pony's healing process. She suffers regularly with Mallenders. Since adding Equidermis but keeping the same maintenance routine in 2 weeks we have good new skin regrowth under scabbing meaning smaller area of mallenders. Cant wait to see the transformation going forward. This summer has been really awful for itchiness and the last 2 weeks on equidermis has reduced this as well. Amazing product with great results and such great value for money.

Have been using equiDermis for arround 9 months. It has massively helped my 2 mare who both had very flakey, scurfy, dry,itchy skin. I have been giving this to my mare for several years as she suffers from sweet itch during the summer months and it has improved her skin and reduced the irritation caused by flies and midges,etc. I feed Equidermis at a reduced amount in the winter, increasing it during the summer months. Last summer my horse had a problem continually itching. The vets couldn’t help but it did clear up on its own by the end of September. So I decided to try this product before the summer season got going to get it fully into his system in the hope he won’t have the same problem this year. Only time will tell if it works.

My mare at 5yrs old started attacking her midline, in sept 21, she has been having anti allergy jabs for 6 months and I’d rugged up in a fly rug and is still biting her skin off and making herself bleed.  So I brought a sample of EquiDermis, day 5 of using the sample at half rate there is signs of new hair growth, so I ordered more and gave her the recommended dose 2 weeks in, no blood, skin pink and healing, clearly more comfortable to touch……so far so good,  the weather has been dry and hot so yet to see what happens when it’s more damp

I tried this for my cob who developed skin allergies, I ordered a sample to start with because she can be fussy, I was surprised how much product was in the sample, I was expecting it to be half the size it was. It gave us time to get my horse used to it before buying more. After gradually increasing the amount in her feed I ordered a larger quantity and equidermis is now an important part in managing her allergies, her allergies tend to be an issue to varying degrees all year so she will be on this supplement all year round to help keep her skin and coat in good condition.

I was recommended this product for my 6 yr old exracer. He had been very itchy all summer and it continued in to autumn. Since using EquiDermis Plus he is itching less and the sore patches on his neck and shoulder are healing very nicely. After getting half way through my tub of Equidermis I decided to use the discount offer to get a refill. One of my Highlands has always been "itchy". I have used the usual veterinary products for Sweet Itch but he itches all over. I am seeing less of this now and I think he is feeling the relief. Less rubbling on shelter doors and against trees. i am now using Benzyl Benzoate only as anti midge protection along the mane, the dock and under the belly. I am pleased not to be using so many chemicals and the hair is growing back on his face.
I am hoping I Equidermis has solved the problem and woud certainly recommend others to try it.

I’m using Equidermis for my SI youngster. She really suffered at 2 years old even though she was covered. My mare wouldn’t eat this so I’ve had to add some molasses to get it down her as she doesn’t need any hard feed, I feel It’s a bit soon to be sure if it’s made a difference but her skin is certainly no worse!

Product is as described and seems to be making a difference. My horse is very sensitive and anywhere that his tack or rug sits he was going bald So I thought I would give this a try. This product is incredible. I had 2 horses rub hair from their faces and bodies giving the appearance of ringworm which was ruled out by the vet. Their itching  disappeared relatively quickly when I fed Equidermis plus. It came back at the same time the following season  because I stopped using it when they got better. Now I always feed it from March through to November
The dogs will eat a teaspoonful each on its own and all their itches have disappeared!
Lots of excellent feedback from others to whom I have recommended this product.

I buy 3 supplements regularly for my pony. The one I have just had delivered again is Hardy Hoof which I have been feeding him for years. The farrier today said that my pony's feet look really good and in fact look to be "text book feet" - how good is that given the even worse than usual wet and mud we have suffered so far this winter. I took on a retired racehorse who suffered badly with mud fever.  After washing daily, drying and veterinary help we eventually got it under control.  I then put him on EquiDermis plus and have never looked back his coat and skin is now amazing . He is fed this product all year round and even after a wet cold winter he has not suffered.

Nutrition Information

EquiDermis™works from the inside out by providing nutrients required for healthy skin.  It has been specifically formulated to provide natural support to the skin tissue, promoting a shiny, glossy coat and soothing challenged skin.

EquiDermis™is a rich source of alpha-linolenic acid, an essential fatty acid (Omega-3) that has various health benefits that are particularly suited for skin support.  Omega-3 has natural soothing properties that calm irritated and aggravated skin.  B vitamins, including Biotin, have been added as they are associated with promoting skin, hair and hoof health.  Linseed supplies amino acids that are also necessary for healthy resilient skin, whilst the herbs support the internal systems.  Burdock root helps to maintain a healthy functioning liver, whilst Nettle and Clivers are added for their general tonic effects.  Chamomile gently soothes dry and damaged skin.

The Horse's Skin

The skin is the horse's largest organ, and its main function is to act as a protective barrier to the internal systems.  Healthy skin is resilient and elastic with a smooth glossy coat and is an indicator of your horse's general health.  Both Omega-3 and Omega-6 are essential fatty acids that are required for good general health but that cannot be made in the horse's body.  As a result these fatty acids must be supplied in the diet in the correct balance, however many diets fed to horses are high in Omega-6 and low in Omega-3. Supplementing with Omega-3 will help to readjust this balance and promote healthy skin and a shiny coat.
